Do you provide equipment and hardware?

The KaraFun Business offer includes the catalog of songs, our modern karaoke software and our resources and help.

Equipment and hardware are not included.

What is the offline mode and do I need to download all songs?

The offline mode will allow your clients to continue singing in the event of an issue with the internet connection.

We do not recommend usage of this feature except in case of emergency situations. In offline mode, you will not be able to use the Remote Control feature and will not have see any visuals for our pre-made playlists.

The number of songs to download is up to your discretion. We recommend downloading at least 10,000 songs as a backup in the event of loss of the internet. Top tracks can be downloaded automatically from the Settings Page > Offline.

It is important to note that each track requires 5 Megabytes of space. Your device must have sufficient space before downloading. For total space needed, check under Settings > Offline.

An active subscription is required for this feature.

How to use Session Management?

Click on Session Management
Click on Add a Session
Select a start date and hour. By default, it is set to a two hours time window
Type in your client's name
Leave a comment for your team if necessary
Click Add a Session
To add a new session, you can also directly click the start time
This client speaks French. You can also select the client's language to set the app to their native language.
You can drag & drop the session on the schedule to change it. You can also move the client to another room this way!
To delete a session, click it on the schedule then click "Delete the session"

Which device and KaraFun application should I use?

KaraFun Business features are only available on our dedicated iPad application available on the App Store (KaraFun for home use on Windows, Android, iOs or Mac do not include business features) .

The exact device and model of iPad depends on your preferences, budget and needs. We recommend recent models of iPad Air or iPad Pro with the most recent iOS version and enough capacity for offline mode.

What equipment and hardware do I need for each karaoke room and how much will it cost?

No matter the size of the karaoke room, the equipment and setup will remain the same. The cost will depend on the quality of material you choose for your karaoke equipment, but big-ticket items include a tablet, television, microphones, mixer, speakers, amplifiers, and cables for hook up.

It is important to note that all material can be purchased at any electronics store or online.

All material recommended by KaraFun Business remains a suggestion and we advise checking with an experienced electronics professional who can assist you in selecting the best material based on your budget.

What are the internet requirements to run KaraFun Business?

KaraFun Business is a streaming service. Having a good internet connection is essential. We recommend a DSL or Fibre-optic connection of at least 20 megabytes.
It should be noted that a stable internet connection is more important than the speed of the internet.

You can always use KaraFun’s offline mode as a backup but should note that we only recommend this in emergency situations as you will not be able to use our Remote feature or our pre-made playlists in offline mode.
